This version may differ from the final version when published in an issue.
To support a greener future and embrace digital
advances, the Hong Kong Journal of Radiology (HKJR)
will switch to an online-only format this year. We will
continue to publish four issues annually, on a quarterly
basis. Articles will be available on our website as soon
as they are ready, before they are collated in an issue.
This will enable readers to access the most up-to-date
research and insights in a timely manner. Articles will
be featured separately as well as in an issue that will be
accessible with just one click.
Last year, for the first time, our journal achieved a
journal impact factor of 0.2 (Clarivate, 2023). My
sincere thanks to the dedication and tireless efforts of our
esteemed editorial board members, reviewers, editorial
office staff, and everyone else involved for their valuable
contributions and unwavering support. Our open access
publishing option increases accessibility to research,
potentially attracting more authors and readers to our
journal. In addition, we have been striving to publish
high-quality research articles, case studies, and reviews
that address current and emerging trends in radiology.
Our robust peer review process encourages timely
and constructive feedback from reviewers to ensure
publication of the highest quality accurate and relevant
research. Looking forward, we will explore the use of
digital platforms to expand the reach of the journal. Apart
from the existing user-friendly website with enhanced
search functions, our articles can be promoted via social
media channels with multimedia content such as video
summaries to engage a broader audience.
We invite researchers, clinicians, and scholars to
contribute their valuable insights to our journal. The
HKJR is dedicated to showcasing the most recent
advances, interesting cases, novel techniques, and
opinions on a specific topic or issue. Popular topics
include emerging trends in clinical oncology and the
application of artificial intelligence in clinical practice.
Submission guidelines and instructions are featured on
our journal’s website. We look forward to receiving your
valuable contributions. Together we can advance the
frontiers of radiological knowledge and improve patient
care through innovative research and expertise.
